Round 2

My great team and former school nurse held a shower for Trace and I. It was very nice and I think everyone had a nice time. The cake was delicious (and VERY cute.) Trace got alot of nice, new things too. It is so nice that we have mostly everything we need. Here are some pictures that Merideth took.

Diaper cake made by Amanda, Bonnie and Tango.

The great hosts and I. THANK YOU Ladies!!!

Jennifer's daughter, Madi. She is too cute!

The cake was SOOOO good. I would walk by the kitchen and Brian and Travis would be eating it straight out of the box. Those are my boys..... Soon I'll have Brian AND TnT. :)

THANKS AGAIN LADIES!! We are blessed to be so loved!

Spring Break

Here were some of our relaxing Spring Break activities:
Crawfish boil at Brian's friend's house. Travis really liked the boiled shrimp and "mud bugs." He also had fun playing with the dogs and killing the big mosquitoes.
Brian worked on the dresser and Travis was practicing his writing. He can already write mom!! Here he came and knocked on the door to show me. :) He's so smart! Daddy taught him that a few weeks ago.

Visiting Dad at work. They have been trying to plant, but the rain is really slowing them down. As always, Travis loves being around the "big green tractors." We'll be visiting Dad alot this summer when I have two kiddos and need to get out of the house.Worked in Trace's room, organizing all the great gifts we got at the shower this past Sunday. Travis made "snow" with the packaging from the Willow Tree angel I got. He also liked testing out Trace's crib.

Mailed out Travis' birthday party invitations. His party is getting close and we went out to buy everything (almost everything) we need for his party since I had time in case I was too tired as the weeks go on or if I was to deliver early.
I did ALOT of nesting this week since I am almost 36 weeks. I had Travis at 38 weeks!!!

Showered with Love

My mother and sister-in-law hosted a baby shower for Trace and I. The food and cake was delicious. It was very nice and we got alot of great things for Trace. He doesn't really need much, but it was nice to get some new clothes and toys for him. We feel so loved! :)

Finished Dresser!

Daddy's fine craftmanship: Brian finished the dresser and it looks GREAT! He did a really good job and it is so much more special since he made it. It looks perfect in the room and will hold alot of baby clothes! I am glad that he decided on making it because it is so much more meaningful. Good Job Honey!!!

Getting Closer....

Since we are getting so close to Trace's delivery we have looked around at a few stores trying to find a sturdy dresser like Travis' for Trace. We have not had any luck finding anything that was good quality for a reasonable price. We were talking about going to pottery barn kids this morning when Brian decided to just make it himself. We went to Home Depot and got the supplies. I am excited to see the final product! Travis loves it when Daddy has projects outside, because that means he gets to play out in the barn. You can see him in the background digging with his shovel.

Brian was busy at DJ's house doing a project for him. (Brian enjoys having LOTS of projects) I hadn't taken a picture in almost a week, so I decided to take one myself. Here I am at 33 weeks. I had just returned from eating at Grimaldi's for Angel's 30th birthday. It was really good!!! After eating they went on to the bars in Sugar Land. I didn't think I could make it so I picked up Travis and went home. Happy Birthday Angel!! Brian finished his project at 5:30 in the morning! I couldn't do it....

Rodeo

We went to the rodeo Saturday night to see Jason Aldean. We weren't sure how Travis would like the rodeo. He wasn't too interested in watching it. He liked bull riding the best. He started getting a little restless until the performance started. He was well behaved but when we go during Spring Break, he won't be coming back with us. :) Here are some pictures. The first one is out of order.... I couldn't get it to move so I just left it here. It is the picture to show how enthused he was with the rodeo. I think he was too far away to stay interested. He has been to small rodeos where he is right at the fence.
Travis was excited to get to ride the bus.

When we brought Travis to the rodeo last year, I got a similar picture of Daddy and Travis with the rabbits.

We took Travis to Farm Country where the kids get to spend time on a farm doing "chores" procucing goods to sell. Here Travis just got his basket to fill as he worked on the farm.
First stop was feeding the chickens and collecting an egg.
Next, planting a carrot seed and putting a carrot in his basket. The guy working this booth could have done a little better. Travis hadn't even turned around to walk away and he was already digging up the seed Travis had planted.

Milking the cows..... Some of the other stops were picking oranges and sheering a sheep.
One of the last stops was to turn in everything he produced so that he could get paid.
For all his work on the farm producing milk, growing corn and carrots, sheering sheep, Travis got paid a dollar.
With his dollar, Travis bought a juice box and a rice krispie.
Travis was being so good with all the adults in the John Deere suite that Brian told him he could have one of these lights. Just what we need around the house.... Here Travis is showing DJ how it works.
At the end of the night we waited over an hour to get back on the bus. Ughh! Travis fell asleep on Brian's shoulder. Brian had to leave the line to take Travis potty. He has been doing so well with the potty. :) Hopefully, potty training Trace will be as easy as it was with Travis.
